Rifat Hossen is an undergrad student at Chittagong University's Department of Sociology. He is passionate about social science research and wants to explore the complex phenomena of social issues like culture, migration, child labor, and so on.

He is a Bangla and English columnist in prominent newspapers in Bangladesh, such as the Daily Observer, Daily Sun, the Asian Age, Jai Jai Din, Sharebiz newspaper, etc. Moreover, he is a General Secretary of the Chittagong University Social Science and Arts Higher Study Club. Though Rifat Hossen is passionate about debate, he is a Chittagong University debating society member. He was also the editor of two annual magazines 'Sachoron' and 'Prokompon' of Hathazari Central Students' Forum, University of Chittagong. Besides, he has completed three projects as a data transcriber and two projects as a data enumerator in Rangamati and Khagrachari.
