Meherab Hossain
Meherab Hossain is the current Deputy Director of the Language Skill Development Unit (Session: 2024-2025) and ex-assistant director of the same department (Session: 2023-2024), also a dedicated Research Assistant at the Centre for Advanced Research (CAR) in Dhaka, Bangladesh. His work involves managing research projects, conducting interviews and surveys, and contributing to academic publications. With a deep-rooted interest in international relations, migration, politics, and geopolitics, Meherab's academic journey has been shaped by his numerous contributions to these fields.
Throughout his career, Meherab has participated in several international research projects, including collaborations with Hochschule Darmstadt in Germany and the University of Georgia in the USA. His research spans a wide range of topics, from qualitative data analysis to quantitative assessments, with a particular focus on the Rohingya crisis and governance challenges in Bangladesh. His work has been featured in reputable journals and forthcoming book chapters, reflecting his commitment to scholarly excellence.
Beyond his research endeavors, Meherab has published thought-provoking opinion pieces on geopolitical issues and cybersecurity threats on platforms like Modern Diplomacy and Eurasia Review. His drive for continuous learning is evident through his active participation in various training programs and conferences.
In addition to his research role at CAR, Meherab serves as the Deputy Director of the Language & Development Unit at UniV. His leadership extends to community service, where he holds the position of 2nd Vice President of the Dhaka Purbachal Rising Star Leo Club, contributing to youth development and civic engagement.
