Md. Awwal Islam Khan, a passionate and ambitious researcher from Bangladesh, completed his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Statistics at Islamic University, Kushtia, graduating with top honors in both programs. Currently, he is pursuing a PhD in Statistics at Firat University, Turkey, under the prestigious Turkey Burslary Scholarship.

He began his academic research journey as a Research Assistant under Professor Dr. Md. Mahabubur Rahman at the Department of Statistics, Islamic University. Over the years, he has authored research articles published in reputed journals and actively contributed to collaborative academic projects.

Since 2023, he has been working with UniV where he currently serves as the Director of the Research and Development (Science School) Unit. In this role, he oversees interdisciplinary research projects, mentors young researchers, and promotes scientific collaboration across departments.

In addition to his academic and research endeavors, Awwal has demonstrated strong leadership skills in various extracurricular and organizational activities. He has served as a marketing manager in an online company and a treasurer for organizing university tours. He has also been actively involved in private tutoring since 2012, mentoring students in statistics and related subjects.

He possesses diverse skills including web development, first aid (certified through Scouts training), and self-defense (black belt holder). He has participated in multiple academic seminars and conferences, contributing to discussions on statistical methodologies and their applications in solving real-world problems.

Outside of academia, Awwal enjoys traveling, exploring different cuisines, reading, and watching infographics. His drive for continuous learning and passion for interdisciplinary research fuel his commitment to contribute meaningfully to both academic and societal advancement.
