Jahirul Islam
Jahirul Islam is an undergraduate student in the Department of Economics and Banking at the International Islamic University Chittagong (IIUC). His research interests include agricultural economics, energy economics, environmental economics, Islamic economics, and sustainable development.
He has worked with UniV as a Research Intern and Co-Leader in the Anti-Corruption, Governance, and Migration team under the Social Science Unit. He authored a paper on market structures in Bangladesh’s service sector and co-presented a study on Islamic social finance at the 1st International Conference on Islamic Finance in Bangladesh (ICFaB 2025).
Jahirul is proficient in data analysis using STATA and SPSS, and he has experience in academic writing, newsletter design, and event organization. He served as the Finance Secretary of the IIUC EB Club and received the Best Intern Award from UniV.
