Ikrar Chowdhury
Ikrar Chowdhury is a hardworking, positive individual and a passionate aspiring researcher with a degree in English Language and Literature from the International Islamic University Chittagong (IIUC). With a strong passion for education and social development, he is currently working as an English Teacher at a middle school, where he contributes to teaching, creating course materials, and lesson planning.
His academic interests include teaching English speaking, TESOL, curriculum development, and the socio-cultural dimensions of language in South Asia. He holds a TESOL certification from the U.S. Department of State's OPEN MOOC program and aspires to be a globally aware, yet locally rooted, educator and researcher. He is currently involved in research projects focused on sociolinguistics and regional language variations.
During his undergraduate years, Ikrar served as the IT Secretary and a Graphics Designer of the English Language and Literature Society (ELLS), where he managed communications and digital outreach. He remains actively engaged in voluntary and academic development initiatives, with a deep commitment to education and social change.
In addition to his academic pursuits, Ikrar enjoys traveling, visiting new places and creating memories, photography, and learning from diverse communities. He values meaningful conversations about building a more equitable and educated world. He believes in interdisciplinary approaches to addressing social challenges and is passionate about using education as a transformative tool for empathy, equity, and empowerment.
