Rifat Hossen is a graduate student at Chittagong University's Department of Sociology. He is passionate about social science research and wants to explore the complex phenomena of social issues such as culture, migration, child labour, and others.

He is passionate about writing, so he writes columns in Bangla and English Newspapers. He was also the editor of two annual magazines, 'Sachoron' and 'Prokompon', of the Hathazari Central Students' Forum, University of Chittagong. He has also worked as a research assistant in RMMRU. He has completed three projects as a data transcriber and two projects as a data enumerator in Rangamati and Khagrachari.
